Maiden Voyage

Wow.  Here we go!  This is my first ever blog.  Blogging has been around for over 10 years and I can vaguely remember when I first heard about it.  I thought, "how narcissistic".  Now...it seems like nothing next to knowing what everyone had for dinner via social networking or that a strange rash seems to be plaguing somebody's offspring.  Don't get me wrong.  I'm totally not knocking those posts.  I'm as guilty as the next guy of potentially posting TMI and guess what?  I don't really care.  Don't read it or unfriend me or whatever you want to do to avoid reading something of mine that offends you.

So then, what would posses me to start a blog?  A few things, I suppose.  First, I do like to write.  Second, it seems people like to read what I write.  Third, pure curiosity.  So let's just see where this goes, shall we?

The subject matter of my blogs could be pretty much anything.  Hence the blog name.  I am not good at narrowing things down to one genre.  So I'm thinking I will stick with what moves me at the time.  Another side note you may want to know...I have every intention of being myself.  For those who don't know, that means a healthy dose of language a lot of times.  Consider this your fair warning.

That being said - I guess let the blogging begin.  If you like what you read I hope you will consider following my blog and recommend it to others.  Feel free to leave your commentary on anything that moves you.  You can also show your support by clicking on an ad here and there which is what allows me to actually turn this new hobby into a paid gig.  Not a bad deal, huh?

Thanks so much for being one of my first readers!

  1. Hey Brandi! Good luck with your blog! I have been tossing the idea around myself for about a year but just haven't taken the time to do it. Much for the same reasons you stated. I love to write and let's face it, we all need to vent sometimes. LOL!

I've felt like "who's going to give a crap about what I write or think about something?" but hey, I figure if I can get moral support and maybe even change a few hearts and minds, then it'll be worth it.

    Look forward to further entries!
